A Decade of Wood Carvings: My Artistic Journey

I have been fascinated by the intersection of art and mathematics, using maths to generate interesting surfaces carved into wood. I stumbled upon this nearly ten years ago when I built an experiment demonstrator for my old lab. I needed to create a smooth saddle shape. I was so pleased with the result that it began a small obsession. I have incorporated these designs into many pieces of my work, including my Nixie clocks.
